Stripes, Strips, Bars and Bands

| Intro | Shapes | Elements | Colors | Stripes | Crosses | Heraldic |

As previously seen (see Tri and Bi Colors), striped flags are quite common. The stripes may be called "strips," "bars," or "bands" but they amount to the same type of field division. The number and orientation, as well as colors, are what is important. Stripes may be horizontal, vertical or diagonal. The diagonal stripes are named after Heraldic Elements.
